Rena Postoff B.S.W., M.S.W., RSW, a Designated Capacity Assessor under the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992. With over 35 years in the field of social work, Rena has extensive experience with elderly clients suffering from dementia in long-term care facilities and with psychiatrically ill elderly in institutional and community settings.
Rena has delivered over 150 presentations, lectures and workshops on topics such as Dementia, Capacity Assessments, Elder Abuse, Assessing Mental Status, Mental Disorders in the Elderly and Family Dynamics in Later Life. She is Past President of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and has been recognized as an Ontario Volunteer for her work with that organization.
She held the position of Professor of Social Work Practice (Status Only) at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto until 1990 and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
